Information note on data protection on our social media pages  

We provide you with information below about how your data is used on our social media pages. This Information Notice supplements our Privacy Policy, available HERE , in relation to the use of our social media pages.  

1) GENERAL INFORMATION     

1.1. Responsibility for the activities using personal data, carried out through our social media pages, as described below, lies with the following legal entities:

1.2. According to applicable legislation, we have the quality of associated operators together with the operators of the social networks in which we have pages open (as presented below) in relation to some activities carried out through them.

1.3. This information notice applies in relation to the following social media pages owned by Pikaso Events (“ Pages ”, each a “ Page ”):

1.4. This Information Notice is mainly addressed to people who contact us or follow us through our social media pages. The Information Notice is complemented by the provisions of our Privacy Policy, available HERE . The current Information Notice is made available to you in consideration of the information requirements set out in art. 13 of Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Directive 95/46/EC (“ GDPR ”).

2) OUR ACTIVITIES OF USING YOUR DATA THROUGH OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES     

2.1. When you interact with us through our social media pages, we use your data for the purpose of ensuring our presence on social media, as we have also indicated in our Privacy Policy (available HERE ).

2.2. Ensuring our presence on social networks and communicating with you .

We ensure our presence on social networks to transmit content regarding our tourism activities. We do this by informing you about our offers, our holiday packages, our services, as well as by transmitting information related to the experience of our customers in the holidays organized by us, which may consist of your photos, videos, impressions and feedback. We also keep you updated with the news of our activity through our social network pages.  

We may run campaigns to promote our activities on our social media Pages. As a result of promoting the content of our Pages, they may become visible to you even if you do not follow our Pages. However, it is your choice whether you wish to engage in a discussion with us.

An important part of our activity on the Social Media Pages is communicating with you. We do this by responding to your comments, reactions, suggestions and proposals, as well as criticism or praise that you send us in the common space of our Social Media Pages. We also communicate with you through private messages exchanged via social media, when you contact us in this way. We will respond to communications received from DVs. based on the information received from you. However, we ask that you only send us information that concerns you through private messages via social media or using our addresses indicated at the beginning of this Information Note, especially if it concerns information that may be sensitive to you (e.g. your personal address, information about diets or health conditions, contact details, identification data, information about certain experiences with us, etc.).

When you follow our activity on our Social Media Pages, we often have access to your own pages and all of your profile information, activities, photos, posts, and in some cases, your contact list. We want to assure you that we only use this information for the purpose of getting to know you better and only if you wish to purchase services that we offer (see also our Privacy Policy, section 3.1, available HERE ). 

Through our Social Media Pages, you can also make your own photos, videos, impressions, comments public, either by posting them directly on our Pages or by posting them on your pages or other public pages, referring to us (including by identifying our Social Media Pages).

We reserve the right to moderate or even delete content that you make public through our Social Media Pages; we will do so, in particular, in the case of posts or comments that infringe the rights of others and in particular children, as well as in the case of content that is hateful, sexually explicit or defamatory, or that may otherwise infringe the rights of others (including, without limitation, personal or copyright rights). We may also delete your posts or comments following a request from others, e.g. when you make public on our Social Media Pages photos or videos of people who do not want them to be made public.

We may also share your content through our social media Pages; we will do this when we have a pre-existing relationship with you (e.g., you have purchased our services, you follow our Pages, comment on our posts, etc.) and/or when we believe that sharing your content is related to our business.

You can configure your social media accounts to your own preferences regarding the level of exposure you want for the content you make public, as well as your interests and permissions for social media, e.g. in terms of advertising. However, if you post content on our Social Media Pages, it may become visible to all those who follow our activity.

2.3. We use, through our Facebook Page, the Page Insights function to find out statistical information about the users of our Page. This information is useful for us to improve our marketing activities and our presence on our Facebook Page and in general. We can find out information about users and their behavior when using our Facebook Page, so that we can find out what information interests them and decide on the content of our Page. For example, through Page Insights we can find out information about the categories of users (e.g., by age or location) who use our Page, or which content on our Page is most accessed, shared, forwarded or liked . At the same time, however, the information available to us is prepared by Facebook in aggregate form, i.e. it cannot be linked to a specific user. 2.4. We use your data for our processing through our Social Media Pages based on the following legal justifications:

Your consent as a user of our social media pages (art. 6.1 (a) GDPR), regarding informing you, as a user, about our offers, services and activities, as well as for posting photos or videos of you,         

Our legitimate interest in interacting with users of our Social Media Pages (art. 6.1 (f) GDPR), by answering questions, reactions, comments, criticisms or praise, and communicating with you generally, as well as through Page Insights;         

Taking steps prior to entering into a contract and/or performing a contract with you (art. 6.1 (b) GDPR), when you decide to purchase our services.         

2.5. We may carry out more activities through our Social Media Pages in the future. Before carrying out these activities, we will inform you about how we use your data by updating this Notice.

2.6. We generally retain and use your data that you provide to us only for as long as we need it for our activities.

If you send us requests, complaints, criticisms or praise, we will retain the specific details you send us for a period of up to 3 months after our last exchange of messages regarding your request. When we receive unsolicited data from you, or data that we do not need, e.g. when you request services that we cannot provide, we will delete that data after we determine that it is no longer necessary for us, but no later than 3 months from the date of receipt.

In other cases, we may retain some information you provide to us for a longer period of time, especially if the information is necessary for us to establish or defend a right in court.

Any interaction you have with our Social Media Pages will remain on our Social Media Page or the social network for an unlimited period of time. We may delete old posts from time to time for various reasons; you may also delete content that you associate with our Pages on your own initiative. Finally, your content may also be deleted by the social media operator in accordance with its policy on content on the social network.

2.7. We transmit your data that we have access to through our social media Pages only within the respective social networks, by distributing content. Outside of social networks, we will transmit information about the followers of our Pages only in a limited way, only to persons and entities that support us in our activity and that provide sufficient guarantees regarding the way they manage the data and information we make available to them.

2.8. For our activities described in this section, we are associated controllers with each of the social network operators on which we hold Pages, where applicable. According to art. 26.1, GDPR, we are jointly and severally liable with the social network operators for the data processing activities described in this section. Our associated controller contracts with the social network operators Facebook and LinkedIN are as follows:

2.9. We are not responsible for any activities carried out by social media operators other than those described above. You can find information about the purposes and methods of using your data and information in their privacy policies (indicated in paragraph 3.2 below). 

 

3) LIABILITY OF SOCIAL NETWORK OPERATORS FOR YOUR DATA     

3.1. We have no control over the purposes and methods of using your information by the operators of social networks where we have Pages open. They have control over some information that refers to you, such as those related to your user account and profile, the information and content shared by you, your preferences; most of the time, the operators of social networks obtain this information both through social networks and from other sources (e.g., cookies placed on websites, etc.). We have no control over the types of data and information that the operators of social networks generally obtain and use in relation to you. 

3.2. The social media operators have a direct relationship with you, which is subject to their own data protection policies, available below:

3.3. We draw your attention to the fact that some data posted on our Social Media Pages may be transferred by social media operators outside the European Economic Area, according to the organization of the activities of these operators and under their exclusive responsibility, according to the details available in the data processing policies of these companies, available above. We have no control over the way in which the social media operators organize their activity.  

 

4) YOUR RIGHTS IN RELATION TO THE USE OF YOUR DATA THROUGH OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES     

4.1. Under the law, you have several rights in relation to how we use your personal data. All of these rights are described in our Privacy Policy, available HERE .

4.2. To contact us for information about how we use your data or to exercise one or more of the rights set out in this Privacy Policy, please contact us by email at gdpr@pikasea.co.uk or by post at our address in Bucharest, str. Ion Creangă no. 6B, Sector 5, Romania (Pikaso Events SRL). Please indicate in your request how we can help you and which right you intend to exercise. We may contact you for further details, such as proof of your identity.

4.3. You can also exercise your rights under data protection legislation towards the operators of social networks. Please use their contact details in their privacy policies, indicated in paragraph 3.2 above.
