  1. INTRODUCTION. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT

1.1. This Cookies Policy has been prepared by Pikaso Events SRL (“ Pikaso ”, “ Operator ” or “ we ”), as data controller, regarding the cookies placed through the website www.pikasea.co.uk (“ Site ”), operated by Pikaso Events.

1.2. Pikaso Events operates under Romanian law as a limited liability company, headquartered in Bucharest, 6B Ion Creangă Street, Sector 5, Romania, registered with the Trade Register under number J40/188844/2017, unique identification code RO38468832. Pikaso is represented by Ms. Ioana Clain, as administrator.

1.3. Through this statement we wish to inform our Site users about the use of cookies by our Site, as well as about the data processing activities carried out through these cookies. In this document, by cookies we mean cookies and other similar technologies, controlled by us or placed on our Site by third parties with whom we collaborate, according to what is shown in this statement. We do not assume any liability in relation to other cookies that may collect data about our Site users, but which are not installed through our Site.  

  1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

2.1. A cookie is a simple, small file made up of letters and numbers, transmitted along with the pages of our Site and stored by your browser on your computer or any other device you use to browse our Site. Cookies are used to facilitate navigation on the websites you visit, but do not have access to the data stored on your equipment. If you return to our Site later, we or the third parties that control the cookies on our Site may have access to the information stored in the modules installed on your equipment.

2.2. Cookies themselves do not require personal data to function and, in most cases, the information collected through cookies does not identify internet users. With the help of cookies, the following types of information can be collected: IP address, geographical location data, data on the operating system used by your device, various data on the devices you use to browse the internet, information on visits to our Site (e.g., number of visits, time spent on the Site, dates and times of visits, how you access the Site, your behavior on our Site), various traffic data. 

2.3. Depending on their duration, cookies are session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies have a storage duration limited to the duration of a session of visiting a website by the user. At the end of the session or when the browser is closed, the stored information is deleted. Persistent cookies are stored on a user’s device for a variable period of time, longer than the duration of a session of visiting the website, and are not deleted when the session or browser is closed, but upon the expiration of a specific duration, as indicated in this statement. We have indicated in this statement the retention periods of your data obtained through the cookies installed by our Site.

3.1. We use cookies for several purposes, which include:

– storing your browsing preferences on our Site (e.g., preferences regarding cookies placed by our Site, preferred language, your searches, etc.) to apply them to your subsequent visits;

– obtaining information on the ways in which you use the pages of our Site in order to provide you with better information through it, adapted to your needs, and to improve your experience on our Site;

– improve our efforts to promote our services and Site to you;

– the operation of various applications and modules integrated into our Site, for an optimal browsing experience on our Site and for its improvement;

– ensuring the security of our Site and preventing and remedying its operating errors.

  1. WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE ON THIS SITE?

5.1. A list of cookies used on our Site is available in the user agreement management platform of our Site, which is launched on the Site upon first use. The platform can also be accessed on subsequent visits to our Site by clicking on the “Manage your cookie agreements” button available on the right, at the bottom of the page opened on your device screen. Cookies are classified by our cookie agreement management service provider on our Site. We are not responsible for the accuracy of the classifications made by them.

Strictly necessary cookies

5.2. These cookies are essential for the functioning of our Site. These cookies facilitate the use of the basic functions of the Site, e.g., page navigation, cookie preferences, data transfer to social networking pages when you request it, optimization of the loading of the Site on your equipment (depending on the network used and the access location), data on the rendering or presentation of the Site content, data on incidents and errors when accessing the Site, etc. Our Site cannot function properly without these cookies. We are allowed to place these cookies without your consent, in accordance with applicable law. These cookies do not store or transmit information that can personally identify you or that can be used to track your browsing history on the Internet.

Functional cookies

5.3. Functional cookies generally allow for enhanced and personalized functionality to be offered to website users, e.g., remembering personal browsing preferences (language), running certain functions of the Site, etc. By preserving your user preferences, with the help of these cookies, you do not need to enter the same information every time you access a website or certain pages of it. We do not transmit the data collected with the help of functional cookies to third parties.

Analytical/statistical cookies

5.4. Analytical cookies are used by us or a third party to allow us to determine the number of users of the Site and to perform statistical analyses on the use of the Site. They help us to identify the most visited pages of the Site and to understand how users navigate the pages of the Site. For this, analytical cookies analyse your behaviour on our Site, with the ultimate aim of allowing us to adapt to the needs of users and to improve the Site. Cookies of this type use data such as the type and version of the browser and operating system used, the previously visited page, the user’s IP address, the date and time of accessing our Site, the individual user ID, the source of the link to our Site, as well as your browsing behaviour on our Site. Your data is pseudonymised by assigning an individual user ID.  

5.5. If you do not accept these cookies, we will not know when you have visited our Site and we will not be able to monitor the performance of the applications that different areas of the platform use, without this having any impact on your browsing experience on our Site. However, we will not use analytical cookies without your permission expressed through the controls in the platform for managing your agreements (available when you first access our Site or by accessing the “Manage your cookie agreements” button available on the right, at the bottom of the page opened on your device screen).

Performance cookies

5.6. Performance cookies are generally used to understand and analyze the performance indicators of a website in the context of its use by users, which helps to ensure a good experience of using the website. These cookies collect data on the use of a website by its users, which pages are visited the most or if errors are generated on certain pages. These cookies transmit data on how users use a website, which includes the IP address and various other data about a user’s equipment and network.

Marketing/segmentation cookies

5.7. These cookies may be set through our Site by us or by our advertising partners. They are used to analyse your browsing habits and interests in order to provide you with personalised advertising (on our Site or on other websites you visit), including by building a profile of you based on your interests, and to analyse the success of an advertising campaign. Your data used for these purposes is pseudonymised by assigning you an individual user ID and by anonymising the IP addresses you use when using our Site. You can identify the third parties in question depending on the domain that places the cookies, namely our cookies are placed by the domain www.pikasea.co.uk, while third-party cookies are placed by other domains.

 

5.10. Third-party service providers use these technologies to enable us to deliver the content of the Site to you and to ensure, at the same time, a high quality of your experience on it. Some of the providers may associate information relating to you, which they obtain through the platform, with other information relating to you, which they hold or obtain from elsewhere. These providers carry out these activities according to their own interests and for purposes pursued exclusively by them, respectively on their own responsibility. We are not responsible for any use of your data by these third-party service providers. In general, the operation of cookies of these third-party providers is subject to the privacy and cookie policies of these third-party service providers, respectively, which we invite you to consult if you consider it necessary in the descriptions of their cookies indicated in the platform for managing your agreements on our Site. 

Social media technologies

5.11. Our Site includes technologies from social media operators that we use for our activity, namely Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIN. We use these social networks to promote the web pages of our Site on social networks or to communicate with you via Facebook Messenger installed on our Site (when you are logged in to your Facebook account when you access our Site). In general, social media technologies track your behavior on our Site and allow the correlation of data related to your internet browsing with your data held by the respective social networks, for the purpose of creating a profile of you, used to send you advertising or personalized content. These technologies are cookies and similar tools that track your activity on our Site and on other sites you visit, which may store and process certain information about you, so that, for example, an advertisement personalized for you, among other things based on the content accessed on our Site, can be displayed to you on other sites you visit or on your pages on the respective social networks.

In general, social networks collect information about you through cookies and other technologies placed on our Site for the purposes we pursue, which consist of sending advertising for our Site to you. At the same time, social networks may also use your data for purposes other than this. We are not responsible for the data processing carried out by social networks for such other purposes. Web beacons and pixels

5.14. This Site uses web beacons or ” pixel tags “. A web beacon is a graphic image, most often transparent, usually no larger than 1 pixel x 1 pixel, placed on a site or in an email, which is used to monitor the user’s online behavior when accessing a site or when accessing or sending an email with certain features.

5.15. Our Site contains the Facebook web beacon, which is used to monitor user activity on our Site and to build user profiles in order to send them personalized advertising. The information accessed by Facebook through the web beacon installed on our Site is used by Facebook acting as a controller associated with us; the agreement with Facebook is available here . Facebook uses the data obtained through the Facebook pixel within the European Union for the purposes of data processing for which Facebook is a controller associated with us. We do not exclude that Facebook uses the data obtained through the Facebook pixel for its own purposes, in accordance with its privacy policy and its cookie policy (see the links to these in the description of the Facebook pixel in the platform for managing your agreements on our Site). We are not responsible for the use of your data by Facebook for such other processing purposes.   1. WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE IN RELATION TO YOUR DATA THAT WE USE?

6.1. You have several rights related to how we use your personal data in connection with the operation of cookies on our Site. 7.1. You can change your preferences regarding cookies placed through our Site at any time by accessing the “Manage your cookie agreements” button available on the right, at the bottom of the page opened on the screen of your device.

7.2. You can easily delete cookies placed by our Site from the cookie folder of your internet browsers. You can also set your internet browsers to block cookies or to send a warning notification before a cookie is stored on your device. You can find more information about cookies in the menu of your internet browsers. When you block cookies, you can still use our Site, but this may affect your experience of using it. It is also possible that the interventions made by your internet browsers may not be entirely effective in managing cookies on our Site.
